how to combine weight training and cardio for weight loss

Im trying to lose 15lbs and im currently at a halt. I have worked out faithfully for almost a month. Im in the gym from 8-12 every morning and I use the calorie counter faithfully as well. BUT I have yet to get out of the 180s. ANY advice on how to combine strength and cardio for overall weight lose? SHould I do more weights and less cardio or vice versa. Should I target one area a day with strength training?

Four hours every day? This may sound nuts, but consider exercising less.

I thought it was alot but I thought if I went in the gym and gave it my all for a long time, then I would see awesome result. NOT SO TRUE!

well in my eyes looking at how much you weigh is decieving. especially when you lifting weights and cardio for 4 hours out of the day. muscle is going to way more than fat , but it looks different. Picture a 100lb brick to a hundred pound of feathers. keep doing what you doing you good lessen the weight and add more sets and reps0

Dont get down on yourself. Almost every motivational poster out there makes it sound like more is better.
Squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press......
Pick a lifting program... NROLFW, stronglifts, starting strength, APSBR... they tell u how much cardio to do... i usually do three 20-30 minute sessions of interval training and a few hours of walking a week..0 -

Your body will adapt to cardio, keep that in mind. I would stick with mostly weights and cut your cardio down to 2-3 days a week of HIIT.0

Youre right! Today I did alot of squats (leg day), but I will get with a trainer to help me with the other three, to be sure Im getting the right weights. I dont want to get too heavy or too light weights.

I def understand. I was doing spin, cardio kickboxing, yoga, and tabata, BUT Ive been looking into doing HITT training with the military. Im nervous but I really wanna get out of these 180s so I made plans to go this week. KETTLEBELLS< CORE<HITT BOOTCAMP0
