Hey everyone bemoaning our lack of success over the weekend! This challenge is for us. The challenge is to not go over calories for the weekend (June 27 - 29).

I need you all out there to help hold me accountable and I will do the same.

I WILL TRY!!!!!!!! It's so hard because I'm going away to my cottage and boozing it up seems to be the main source of fun!! I'm going to pack lots of veggies and corn on the cob for snacks and chicken hot dogs for din din! Wish me luck because the weekends are ALWAYS where things go wrong.

I am in! (It will be hard......)! I am like Tizz. The weekend is where I usually "wound down" from the week---that means a least some "cold ones"!!

I'm all in. Going on vacation on Monday, but not wanting to start it off wrong. Weekends are family time, lots of eating out, but I'm learning where my weaknesses are (must they always put the plate of french fries by ME?) Hope everyone does well and gets lots of exercise in for those little extra goodies we consume. Have a great weekend!

This is PERFECT! I was worried that the w/e would be much harder than the week has been. Just knowing that I have to check in on Monday will be great!

One of my goals with MFP is to avoid my daily weigh in (soooooo hard for me not to do but I have not checked the scale for 4 days which is the longest I can remember not looking at the scale). Anyway, my first weigh in is next Wed so staying "on track" this w/e will be helpful.

Someone did recommend I use a tape measure and I am grateful for that suggestion.

See you Monday! Good luck everyone!

How did everyone do? I think I sqeaked in which is great considering a girls nite out and a martini party! I kept thinking of the challenge and it really helped me keep the eating down. Thank you everyone.

I was under calories (barely, but under) on Saturday and Sunday. Friday I had Corona Light (two of them) which pushed me over by about 250 calories.

Let's do this again next weekend... it might help get through the holiday weekend!

I stayed on track Saturday but Sunday was a terrible blow out. Gotta work on that.... but 6 days sticking to my calories allotment is better than none!

i was bad Friday, REALLY bad. But I was good Saturday and Sunday. I made up for Friday a bit on Saturday and I weighed today and my weigh is still at what it was on Friday so overall I'd have to say this weekend was a success!!!

Definitely MUCH better than most weekends.

Lets do this again next weekend! Although, I will be moving next weekend so I might just decide not to bother trying to fit in a healthy meal. We'll see.

    See ya!

Sounds like everybody did well on the challenge. (Better than me). I blew it right off the bat-Friday night. I definitely made the wrong choice of food/drink at the Mexican restaurant! It is hard when you go out to eat.

Then I started out ok Saturday morning....ended up going over a couple hundred calories?? Sunday--same thing. I don't know what happened? It was one of those times that you are craving something and you don't know what it is....UGGGHHH!!! I hate those days.

I am back on track this morning. (I have gained 4 pounds over the weekend---boy, I can feel it!!)

I am in for a fourth of July weekend challenge. I will certainly need the extra motivation. I was looking at another exercise challenge and 100 lb challenge and people reported some goals and progress more specifically. Anyone have suggestions that would help accountability for the weekend challenge group?

I know how you feel sassycat, I went to Mexican too. It's so tough cause I love the greasy cheese and Margaritas!! I had water and tortilla soup!! The key is to plan ahead I think.

I will need the extra motivation as well!

I think for the July 4th Challenge we should definitely set goals that we want to accomplish over the long weekend. It will be hard because of the bbqs and picnics, but we should decide what things are most important to us individually and work toward those goals.

I will probably focus on specific exercise goals, drinking extra water (as I will probably have a few cocktails) and not overindulging too much! I will think about what goals I want to accomplish and post them later.

Knowing this Challenge was something I'd committed to helped a lot. I did okay over the weekend. I had a few chips and a couple cookies but stayed at my goal calories. Worked out a little both Sat and Sun.

Definitely want to commit to a 4th of July w/e challenge . . . the long w/e, full of great food, is going to be challenging for sure.

I did good. I stayed around 1200 calories and did alot of walking for exercise. The challenge was good, because it was on my mind and kept me focused. Thanks!! :flowerforyou:

Wow. Glad I came across this thread. I'm in for next weekend, too. Weekends do me in...well, um....every week. I've been at this now for two weeks. Nice to be more accountable, but still haven't lost a pound (as I sit here drinking a glass of red wine...a small one). Loving the site so far.!!

My "weekend" will start on Thursday this week. We are going to my father-in-laws to visit, sister-in-law is in the state (Iowa). I have already started to plan so I can have a successful day. Bought a South Beach wrap for lunch cause we will be driving, the rest of the family will have fast food. I am going to get up early and squeeze in a workout. I am planning to bring vegetables to snack on before dinner. Next I need to check out Pizza Hut menus to see if there is anything I can get cause I am sure that's where we will get dinner!

I am not sure what I am doing the rest of the weekend DH has to leave Sun for business trip so I will have to get early workout that day also.

What are your plans to evade a food free for all this weekend?

I am not going away for the holiday weekend so that will make it much easier to plan meals. I will just have to limit my food and beer intake on the 4th! I want to make sure that I get some time for exercise each day.
