I'm confused - What is it?

I have been logging my exercise as strength training. As I have been seeing it, I go to the gym, I pick up heavy stuff (for me) well technically I pull on a heavy cable as I used a cable machine, and I do this in 3 supersets, 3 circuits of each. My instructor started me on 15 reps but I changed it and upped the weight and reduced the reps to 10-12 as a max that I could do at the weight and have been gradually adding more weight each time.
Last night I asked on here about rest weeks and I guy replied and said that for what I am doing its not really necessary as what I am doing is more cardio and circuit training than hypertrophy. Which I can totally see as my HR is up at 160-170 the whole time so if defo cardio.
So that has led me to think that maybe I have been recording my exercise incorrectly as although my muscles do ache today from working out yesterday morning I can see that it should maybe be recorded as circuit training.
What would you record it as?

If I was you, I would create "My exercise" so that it is the right level for you. If you know your HR (as you do) then take it from there.
