I want so much to lose the weight but I am so lazy and I keep letting other things get in my way. Like sleep. I thought about writting down a daily schedule, but I think what I really need is a swift kick in the pants...................Whats wrong with me?

I wish I knew the answer, I think we all struggle with modivation. from time to time.

I try to set my alarm for earlier in the morning so I can get up and work out and sleep wins EVERY TIME. So I've accepted the fact that I'm just going to have to shower twice a day and work out at night. I also crank up some fast beat music, the kind that just makes you want to move. I just listen to it for a while and pretty soon my hearts pumping and I'm ready to go. I also just try to work out for 10 mintues. I tell myself that "Ok if you are still too tired after 10 minutes then at least youve given it a shot" usually by the 10 minutes I'm working up and sweat and feeling good!

    Hope this helps!

    There's nothing wrong with you.

I've come to believe that this whole idea of "motivation" is kind of a myth. I very rarely look forward to working out, I would still like to eat bad food. But, I know that working out makes my body feel better after it's finished, and offers me the opportunity to get better and better. I know now that bad food will most likely make me feel bad, while nutritious food will give me more energy, and let my body run like a machine.

The nike ads are right. . .sometimes you have to "just do it." The only person that can really kick you in the pants is you.:flowerforyou:

 Sorry, but I think you answered your own question! When you want it bad enough it will win out -even over sleep (or, you will otherwise work out your schedule as I KNOW I cannot get up EVERY morning and work out but I do 2 mornings a week and the other 4 I go in the evenings and I get one day off).

Get into a routine and stick with it. Then like you would not imagine going through your day w/out brushing your teeth you will not imagine going through your day w/out working out in some way... I go every M-TR at 7 pm and it is on my schedule and I go no matter what (within reason  ). My day now feels lacking when I don't go! And I got the schedule started and stuck to it because I wanted it bad enough. I had a 7 month old and the only pants that fit were my pregnancy pants! It was starting to get embarrising! Now, my normal pants fit and I am shooting for a size 6 as my goal size/weight (which I have never been before)! And I want it more than sleep (most days! )

You should reward yourself when you loose so much weight. Like an hour massage or a facial. I had to try to look better in a swimsuit because the last camping trip I had to many dimples on my butt and no girl wants to show that off. I try to keep that picture around when I need motivation. Good Luck!
