I am a 41m, 230 lbs, 19% body fat. I have eaten 1500 cals a day and also 3000. I have eaten 100g of protein a day and also 225g. I lift 3x / week for 45-60 min and do 60-90 min of cardio 2x / week. Unless I starve myself (1500 cals or less a day) which we all know isnt going to happen for more than a long miserable week, I stay the same weight.

I am open to any and all suggestions.

thanks for the input

Have you tried sticking with a plan for a month or so? Are you using net calories or total?

If your body fat is actually 19% at 230 lbs and you're working out hard for 5 days/week, you should find it easy to lose weight at anything under 2500 unless you have a metabolic disorder.
