The Flat Belly Diet

I think I am throwing in the towel and trying a diet. I don't like them and think that in the long run it isn't a good way to do this weight loss conquest, but I am also realistic. I need to fit into a Bridesmaid dress that is way too snug and won't zip by October 29. I am starting the Flat Belly Diet on Monday.

I was wondering has anybody tried this and had any success? Does anyone want to do it with me?

I'd like to hear about it. Is it online or in a book?

I know Monday is a sad day to start a diet, but Saturday is my birthday dinner with my entire family and though I will keep my portions in check I don't want them to ask to change their menu for my latest attempt at weight loss.

The Flat Belly Diet is a book and can probally also be found online. It is done by the editors of Prevention. It has a 4 day anti-bloat start cyle and then a 28 day meal plan. Its flexible and offers a wide varitey of food to mix and match. It seems easy and teaches the balance of healthy meals and snacks that are in the 400 calorie range. Prevention magazine also has a link to the diet on their website. I don't agreee with some of their foods to avoid (ie, spicy and raw "gassy" veggies) I.m giving the 32 day diet a whirl.

I don't know anything about the flat belly diet but I think you should be darn proud of yourself for losing the 14 lbs that you have so far. You must be doing something right!

I purchased that book for $60 when it first came out and haven't so much as glanced at it since. You're motivating me to read it. I vaguely remember the diet being a meditteranean diet, similar to south beach (good carbs vs. bad carbs, lean proteins..) and it also has something about eating good fats that help burn fat (olive oil, avocados, nuts, etc).
I'm going to read it and give it a go. Thanks for the motivation! And maybe we can keep in touch about it?
I agree with the person who said to be proud of your weight loss this far. It's easy to put the weight on but as we all know it's a struggle to get it off. Congrats on your loss this far and don't let this bridesmaid dress trip you up too much. October 28 is a little over two months away. You've got this thing!
