I would say to try these recipes and foods:
John West Light Lunches in different styles:
Mediterranean (211 Cals & 4g fat) Tuna salad with pasta, tomatoes, mixed peppers, green olives in a sweet tomato and herbs dressing.
French Style (218 Cals & 6g fat) Tuna salad with potatoes, sweetcorn, green beans, red pepper and pasta drizzled with a French salad dressing
Salmon (299 cals & 12g fat) Wild pink salmon gently spiced salad with bulgur wheat, tomatoes, carrots, chick peas, red peppers and sultanas.
Italian (205 cals & 6g fat) Tuna with mini penne pasta, tomatoes, courgettes, red peppers, in a fresh & fragrant dressing with a hint of basil and extra virgin oil (1.3%).
Mexican (255 cals & 5g fat) Tuna in a spiced tomato dressing with mixed beans, sweetcorn & red peppers.
I have personally only tried the Mediterranean & french versions, but they were both lovely, can eat on the go as they come with a fork and no prep needed, simply just open and eat: Additional Tip: Tesco have them as 2 for £3.50 until 2nd July 2013! Also having some Marks and Spencer - Eat Well Crisp Bread with them are really nice (25 Cals each slice)
Marks and Spencer - Eat Well Crisp Bread (25 Cals) spread with half mini pot of reduced fat houmous (51 cals) topped with cucumber slices - I'd recommend about 3 or 4 crispbreads for 1 lunch.
Boots Shapers - Chicken Tikka Flatbread (271 Cals and 5g fat) - Lots of flavours, filling and tasty! I put some Boots Shapers crisps with it at 73 Cals & 4g fat - Boots have their lunch time deals as well, so add a drink with it for a price that Boots will show!
2 Egg mushroom omelette 150 Cals & 9g fat
2 Slices toast (about 130 Cals) and 30g Smooth Brussels Pate (about 115 cals) Warning: The pate does have 11g fat so if your having a very healthy dinner then this will satisfy a craving for a bit of fat
2 Slices toast (about 130 Cals) and 15g Fine cut marmalade (40 Cals) - Total: (about 170 cals & 2g fat)
Boots Shapers - Prawn Mayonnaise Sandwich - (287 Cals & 8g Fat)
Bachelors Cup soups (I love the Tomato & Basil which is 92 cals & 2g fat) with 2 slice bread (192 cals & 2g fat)
Hard Boiled egg salad (1 egg, 1 Cup lettuce, Cucmber, 5g grated Cheese *just for the taste*, 5g lighter than light mayo & 12 Croutons) this for me took me to 100 Cals and 6g fat
Crosse & Blackwell - Hearty Vegetable Soup (162 cals & 2g fat)
SNACKS:
Tesco - Italian Original Bread Sticks (23 cals each)
Reduced fat rich tea biscuits (36 Cals each)
Hope this helps you all out x

Thanks, Jess. Some good ideas there.
I sometimes make a Two Chicks egg white omelette. cool and stuff it full of either tuna or chopped fresh strawberries and melon. Lovely lunch in the unexpected heat we have been getting of late!0 -
that sounds fantastic, will try that one!0

Bump for later0

Sounds good0

2 Sesame Seed Ryvita + Laughing Cow Light (Blue Cheese) = 99kcal
Apple = 77 Kcal
Pineapple Lolly = 70kcal0 -
chocolate snack a jacks = 62kcal for one and 1.1g of fat yumm0

I make my own houmous which really cuts down the fat and calories. I eat wholemeal bread sandwiches with almond butter or ham trim sometimes with laughing cow extra light cheese.
Homemade sweet potato and butternut squash soup is also a good one!0 -
i try to make my own lunch but when I'm out in town without something I love the M&S tandoori prawn and squid with yoghurt dip. Mmmm, I think it's 180kcals or something.0

Haven't bought a sandwich out from a while as my workplace is out of town so they have a deli which makes fresh sarnies here.
VERY VERY DANGEROUS!0 -
I used to have sandwiches every day for lunch but since the start of this year it's nearly all been salad. I find the Aldi Ocean Rise flavoured tuna flake tins are a great addition to any leaf salad, they are around 99 cals and 3g of fat per tin and only cost 59p.0

Anyone have any more suggestions0

I wish I liked fish. I do keep trying it now and again in case anything has changed but my stomach just turns and makes me feel sick when I swallow it.0

For creamy low cal salad dressing I mix 2 tablespoons of low fat creme fraiche with salt, pepper, and a bit of water - just enough to make it runny :-)0

I've just found two really scrummy soups from Asda (and i'm sure there'll be many more in that range):
Asda Whole and Hearty - Chosen By You 'Slow Cooked Pork & Orzo' Soup - a tomato based thick soup containing pulled slow cooked pork, onion, and orzo pasta - 159kcals for the whole 400g tub.
Asda Fresh 'Chicken and Sweetcorn' Soup - a thick 'chinese takeaway/restaurant' dupe, it's practically the same as a soup you'd get as a starter in the chinese. I love this and it's only 250kcals for the whole 400g tub.
Highly recommended!0
