Welcome! there's tons of information on here so look over the boards. Set up your goals and start tracking what you're eating. See where you are and where you can make better choices. Start choosing whole foods (lean meats, fruits, veggies and whole grains). Its a learning process so be gentle with yourself. Remember, you didn't learn to walk or drive in a day and weight loss takes time too. Then, keep reaching out for help, you'll find lots of it here!

One thing that has helped me... I don't eat anything after 5:30pm and I also don't eat a carb with dinner. It has been helpful cause I was also a late night eater!

    Keep it simple.
    Avoid alcohol.
    drink lots of water.
try to increase your activity, even 30 min walk a day
obviously eat only healthy high nutrient food, veges, lean meats, fish.
just a simple diet, maybe eggs and toast / pure cereal such as oatmeal for breakfast.
lunch a simple sandwich of lean meat and salad (can buy a prepacked one and check to make sure calories are under 400)
snack if your hungry on carrots, apples or some such.
dinner lean meat/fish and green veges.
Avoid eating out or buying takeways as even if you think you're buying the healthy option it just doesn't work.
Give yourself one meal off a week.
    Persevere.
