Some more questions about water weight

I recently lost a surprising (but not unhealthy) amount of weight in a very short period of time, after cutting down on high sodium foods and eating more fruits and vegetables. I figured this was all water weight. I know that gaining water weight will make you instantly put on a few pounds that will slip of after a few days, but if I lose a lot instantly, is it supposed to come back when I switch to a regular diet? I'm happy with my weight now, so I want to know if I can stay like this without only eating a low-sodium diet.

I tend to not pay a whole lot of mind to my sodium... BUT when I jump of the scale after having a high sodium day, it tends to show up on the scale. I think it's just the nature of the beast. I'd increase the water intake though (if you are not already drinking a lot)... be sure to drink at least half your weight in ounces of water. It helps to keep the water weight down as well.0
