Ready to throw the scale out the window

Hi everyone..i've lost 55 lbs since January and want to lose another 30 lbs. For the last couple weeks my scale has been moving very little (although it has been moving)..i feel like i've been stuck where I am for about 3-4 weeks.
Anyhow having said that, my clothes are getting bigger....i swear i buy something new and a week later it's looking too big.
I know it's the inches, etc. but the scale has to stay in line too, doesn't it. I want to throw it out the window but I know I need to know what's going on to. Just griping..thanks for listening.

If you haven't already I'd definitely suggest measuring yourself. Losing inches is just as important as losing pounds. Keep at it and I'm sure the scale will catch up.0

I have 2 weeks when I lose followed by 2 weeks when I don't every month. I know it's water but yes it's disappointing.
Just remember this isn't a race. Better to put the weight down slowly and keep it gone than go for a quick fix.
You can do this, you are doing this! X0 -
This happens to me, too. My scale has been flat for a while, and it's moving again. Even measurements don't always capture losses; they are on very specific points of the body. Clothes are probably the best gauge. My jeans are loose in the butt even though the hip and max butt measurement aren't moving that much; the area between my butt and my thighs is a lot different though. Also, I really think that water retention shows on the scale even when it doesn't show nearly as much visually. Which makes sense because a couple of pounds all over (feet, fingers and all) would be hard to see. So don't throw out the scale, but don't make it the boss of you, either, if you get my drift.0

I've seen pics where a person can look completely different and yet weigh exactly the same on the scale. Personally i'd rather fit into a size smaller in clothing than see a smaller number on the scale. The scale is only one measurement, don't let it rule everything.0

Thanks for your responses everyone...i appreciate it and glad I'm not the only one.0

^^ This! I will go two weeks without a loss and then lose two pounds and then do it again. I am not sure why but this is how it has been for the last two months or so... Just keep swimming!!0 -
Pitch the scale. It's just a number. How you look and feel are most important.0

The scale really doesn't mean anything.. which is why I avoid weighing myself as much as possible because it just frustrates me. The scale rarely ever moves down for me, and often it goes up even though I've been getting smaller! Which is due to gaining muscle while losing fat, which is what you should be aiming for! So don't' like the scale derail you, I definitely think you should throw it out the window!0

I've been at the same weight basically for about 3 months now. It goes up and down the same 1 or 2 pounds. I've lost an inch every where I have been measuring though. So something is going on!0

I'm right there with you because my scale has been stuck too! While I would really like to see the number go down as long as my clothes keep getting looser I'm ok with it. You're doing great though!0
