I was so excited to discover the scan feature on the mobile iPhone app of MFP. How cool to just capture the UPC code from the package! So easy and fast. However in the last few days I've noticed that what is pulled from the UPS code doesn't always match what the label says. It is almost always the serving size. 9 carrots vs. 10 or 8 pieces vs 9, but in one instance the calories were off by 30 cals, while the serving size wasa the same! That's a lot when you're budgeting. So, which do I trust?

I've had this same thing happen. I scanned a can of corn the other day and it came up pinto beans! In cases where the UPC scans incorrectly, I log on to MFP on my computer and find the product using the search feature and verify the nutrition contents.0

I've had the UPC scan pull up a completely different item, I just double check everything. I go by what the package says.0
