Hello everyone!
I've been using this site for 10 days now, and I really like it. I've tried to exercise and lose weight before, but I usually end up "getting busy" and quitting. I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer once, and that lasted about a year. I ended up losing 25 lbs, but that was still 25 lbs short of my goal. I recently moved from the midwest to the west coast and I really want to get in shape and lose the rest of the weight so I can wear cute skirts, dresses, and shorts in this amazing weather! I've been doing great so far, but I haven't lost any weight yet, and I can feel myself becoming a little less motivated. I thought maybe if I connect with some people on here it will help me stay motivated.
So, anyway, hi!
I'm young, married, and no kids. I'm an artist, and I love the outdoors. If we have something in common, feel free to friend me.

Welcome! This is a great place to be to reach your goals. Don't get discouraged. Remember this is a lifestyle change- it may not happen right away. Drink lots of water. Keep getting in your exercise and eating right and you WILL see results. Good luck!!!!

I had a goal to lose 20lbs from Feb 1st till May. I kicked butt the first 2 months. But I was getting up at 4:30 to work out for an hour in the morning before I had to get ready for work, and get kids up and fed. ( I have 2yr old and infant). Then I was working out for another 30min-hour after the kids were in bed at 8:00. Plus cutting out alot of foods. I saw results. I lost 14lbs during this time. Then nothing the next 2 months when I stopped working out as much. Then May rolls around, and I stopped all together. Guess what I gained 9lbs of it back in only 3 months. Its so sad and depressing.

So I got back on the wagon this week. I'm hoping this website will help me. I set a new goal to lose another 20lbs. We are doing more as a family instead of me working out when kids are sleeping. We started riding bike, and the kids love going for the ride. and I started walking on my break at work. This way, when the kids are in bed, I still have my alone time with my husband!

I like the reward system you have set up for yourself! I think I might do the same thing too. That way when I don't feel like running, or I want that ice cream cone, I can think of going shopping for a new pair of shoes, or a relaxing spa day. Great idea.

You'll love this site! There's so much info, support and inspiration in here. Things have improved sooo much for me since I joined and I really don't feel like I'm sacrificing a whole lot (like every time I've been on other diets). It's all about eating in moderation and finding a balance that works for you! I just sent you a friend request, people are very supportive here so just holler if you want to share things, need motivation or have questions!

Good luck on your weight loss journey!
