OK, so I am overweight. I have never let it get in my way or not do what I want because of it. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, that is way out of control and has been for a while. This does make weight loss harder, but not impossible. So, my motivation, other than for myself and kids is the other day my husband (innocently he says) said I should loss some weight because I have bad arthritis due to past knee injuries and had surgery that screwed one knee up badly. He said it will help me. Well, I took it as him calling me FAT, which he has never done. And boy did that fire me up. So, I am religiously watching what I eat, drink. I enter everything and it really has become my life line. I've lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks. Seriously, thats huge for me. In the past, I would get discouraged and give up. Well, I'm not this time. I'm atleast going to get back to pre-baby weight, which was 12 years ago. I'm going to win this fight!!!!!

    Hey Pat,

Good for you. I am glad you are fired up and logging consistently. That is what a lot of the success comes from is simply consistency. Best of luck to you and I can't wait to hear what you lose in a month.
  • Hey, that's great! I know so many with difficult health situations (diabetes) who say "why bother". They'd rather take the needle and eat anything they want rather than to face a slow but steady weight loss. Personally I have no health issues but my age is against me for fast weight loss. I'll be happy to see slow and steady too. "Slow and steady wins the race"

Congrats on your 3lbs.....Keep it up!! Just keep tracking and find foods that you like that are healthy that can replace some of the unhealthy ones.....it will become a habit and make a huge difference in the long run. Good luck!
