NSV! Distance PR!

NSV!! Distance PR! I jogged EIGHT miles without walking!!! 85 minutes. The most I've ever done prior to this was a 10K race three years ago. For those working on c25K, I started there, too. If I can do this, anyone can! Believe in yourself!
I am super impressed with myself right now. When I was nearing the end of my jog, I started thinking "I could do a half-marathon." I think I can! That may be my new goal.

I'm training for a half marathon right now, and it's an awesome feeling setting a new pr every week in regards to distance! If you feel the need for a challenge, I say sign up for a half marathon! It's something on my bucket list and on the way to the big running bucket list item of a marathon.0

It's a little scary to commit, but I think I'm gonna have to do it. :ohwell:2

I've just been idly looking at training for half marathons (I'm no where near that yet. But some day...) Apparently, if you can comfortably run 8 miles, you'll be fine for a half. So yeah - go get it!
Congrats!0 -
But once you commit, you're in training mode!! Keep it up! I LOVE fitness victories!0

What??? That's amazing. Especially with how hard you train your legs.
Edit - I just saw your post was from 2013.1 -

Hahaha, I didn’t look at the date and nearly fainted.
I’d just read on another thread you were dropping a few lbs for your next meet, then all of a sudden half marathons were rearing their head.
Dazed and confused, scrape me off the floor, to say the least.
So the question is- did you ever do a half?
Cheers, h.
ETA: I was expecting the ‘hit 400’ post.3 -

C'mon. I'll pay and we can run one together. I'm sure I can get others on the bandwagon as well!0 -
