What is my body telling me?

I'm just asking this because it kind of concerns me. Yesterday I had a free day and ate whatever I wanted (I know I over did it). I had 3 beers and Mexican food (my weakness). I woke up this morning swollen. The first place I notice it is my ring finger because I can not get my wedding ring off (which is never hard to get off). My question is: is it possible I could be allergic to something, had too much carbs, or had too much salt? Every time I don't watch what I'm eating this happens and now it's starting to concern me. My weight will go up about 3-5 lbs during this time and over 3 days it will drop down again. What is going on with my body?

    3-5 lbs overnight is usually water retention. Was the food pretty salty? Drink a lot of water to keep hydrated and the water should "release" in a day or two.

    likely sodium, if you typically eat cleaner and have a cheat day your body is not used to it. It is not to say you cannot have these days but your body is saying it's not too happy. But I bet those beers were amazing and so was the mexican! Just know that your body wants them only as the occasional treat.

    Did you log everything from yesterday, seeing the numbers in black, white and red might give you your answers.

    It's just because you had a lot of sodium. I'm not sure if you logged the foods or not, but if you did check your daily breakdown. I'm sure it will show you went way over your usual sodium intake. So you being swollen is just water weight. Plus, the beers would make you dehydrated also if you didn't drink water after. These things will make your body swell up from the water weight. I don't think it's anything to worry about but I'm not a doctor either so if you are concerned you may want to get checked out.
