From 185 to 137 with Pics!!!! (and Bacon!!!)

My personal journey started back in May 2012. I had gotten overweight to the point where I developed sleep apnea and my doctor suggested surgery. Though my physicals showed everything as normal, I suffered chest pain. I was always tired and yet I was always hungry. I craved a lot of sugary things all the time. Rarely drank water.

After a dinner with the family, someone took a picture of me that really brought the point home. I was the biggest that I'd ever been in my life and it really scared me.

That same week by coincidence my friend decided to join the gym and asked me to join her and we went nearly every day, from there we started Insanity and finished. With a buddy, it was easier to stay focused and I started looking up info online about how diet affects weight. Apps like Myfitnesspal and Fooducate helped further. I shopped a lot smarter and eat a lot more minimally processed food compared to before.

With all said and done I went from just over 185lbs down to 137lbs. I've been able to maintain my weight for over a year now. When shopping, picking out clothes is a new experience since I my proportions have changed a lot.
