Why is it that when I try to get on the treadmill for 30 measly minutes to run, that is the EXACT time that everyone on the face of the planet needs me for something? I swear, I got on the treadmill this morning and literally had to stop 6 different times!!!!! twice because i was having a sneezing fit and was going to fall off. ( does anyone else have to sneeze when they run? I have a sneezing attack every damn time I run.) once because my 10yr old was jacking with the computer, once because the dog had to go out, then my mom came over, and then my phone wouldnt stop ringing. All in 30 minutes!!!!! Now it's too late to work out today cause i have to get ready for work!!!!! UGHHHH!!!!! Ok, i'm done!!! LOL

Nope, you're not the only one!! ha ha  I've got hubby, 18 yo, 3 yo, two rott pups, two cats and I can never get a few minutes to myself, let alone a half an hour to myself. I need to actually go outside for a walk/run to get a little peace and quiet (and a decent uninterupted workout!)

That is why we moved our equipment to the shop. No phone. Leave kids alone for workout time. Anyone comes to door we can't hear them. Have cell phone with me and screen if it is important. Good luck getting rid of distractions. bTW, my wife uses the teapot thing to clean her nose during high pollen season before exercise to help control sneezing. It works for her. Also good when you have a cold. Good luck.

trust me, I am welll aware of that situation. Sometimes things just have to wait. Maybe you can make the kids stay in the room during that time, and u can put the dog out prior to working out. Let the voicemail answer the call and get the 10yr old to answer the door.
Being that I am a pharmacist (stay at home mom right now) it sounds like your nasal passages are opened completely while you are running. I am not diagnosing or treating you but try some Afrin before a run though in order constrict the sinus. That might help
I had something similar happen lastnighnt. The same thing happened to me lastnight. My 2 year old likes to rummage through our bedroom and drop my makeup in the tub for some reason and hubby never shuts the bedroom door. I asked him to go and get her but he rather watch the ultimate fight match on TV. I had to go and do it, and then my 5 month old pooped and i had to change her, and then my hubby bumped into the elliptical as i was running and knocked the batteries out so I couldnt see how long i was on NOR could I see the calories burned!!!
  • No no, can't say I have that problem. I leave kids and hubby at home at 5:30 AM when everyone is still asleep, and it's just me, my work out partner in the comfort of our very own Gold's Gym! YEAH!
