Meal replacements aren't food. So unless one expects to consume shakes as meals for the rest of their life, then this (like most liquid diets) will result in weight regain.

Having gone through this before with 3 other brands of meal replacement shakes, I can tell you that ninerbuff is telling the truth!
  • I found herbalife to be heavily overpriced, and not value for money for what you actually get. I also agree that sticking to shakes as meal replacements arent good for you, but I have an issue eating breakfast, so use decent protein shake (cost avergaes £9 per 1kg) as my metabolism kickstart in the morning, and for post- workouts. Some of the stuff herbalife says about is true, for example getting your protein intake up etc. But with a little research on the web and talking to people in places like this (or in my case a very close friend who is doing his degree in sports & nutrion) then you can get all the knowledge herbalife will give you for free.
I have found doing this plus changing my diet to Paleo has helped me lose weight steadily and keep it off, while feeling a lot better in myself, (i dont get that bloated yucky feeling or fall asleep after meals anymore.) It also is easier to manage with my children (eliminates the need to prepare a meal for yourself and then one for them.) It also means that I can still go out for meals and not feel guilty about having a treat or two with no major hassles.

What works for me is just not to eat breakfast, or not much of it. The metabolism doesn't actually require a kickstart or boost from food an any particular time of day. The metabolism just chugs along, day in, day out, until we die.

I am currently on herbalife program and I am loving it! The thing here is to discipline yourself to the food you once loved. What I like most about this program is that they are telling you to never ever skip meals! You can eat but just within your allowed calorie intake for the day.
