If I am using MFP and I've eaten my 1200 calories for the day, but then I burn 400 calories at the gym, does that mean I have to eat 400 more calories to get back up to 1200? I don't want to go into the "starvation mode".
Thank you!
Thank you!

yes. this is how MFP works. Read the pinned notes about this, it makes perfect sense. If you're only giving your body 800 calories to live on, you not only won't lose weight the way you want, you're risking hurting yourself.0

Yes, MFP is designed for you to eat back those earned exercise calories. Unless you have medical complications, of course. Otherwise you're asking your body to run on roughly the intake of a toddler (1200-400=800 left to do important stuff like keeping your kidneys running).0

Good to know, thank you all!0
