Losing too much weight?! Advice?

I purchased a treadmill a few months ago so I could generally tone up as I have a sedentary job and I don’t want to get the “secretary spread”. I’ve toned up beautifully and I ENJOY walking on my treadmill but my problem is that I am losing weight and I don’t want that! I only walk 1 mile (or less sometimes), every other day at about 2.7 mph. I was walking everyday but I cut back to every other day hoping that would stop the weight loss. Do I need to cut back to walking every 2 days? Hate to do that because I love it so much and, well, exercise is healthy.

I am a vegetarian and I consider what I eat healthily but I’ve never been one to turn down pizza or pasta, etc. I don't starve myself. I’m 5’7” and was a size 6 but since I’ve been walking, I’m probably more like a 4 which was not my desired goal. I don’t want to lose my curves! LOL

Any advice would be appreciated. I guess this sounds crazy because it seems like everyone wants to LOSE weight.

    Keep walking as much as you want to. The walking isn't what is causing you to lose weight. You are not eating enough and that is why you are losing weight. Figure out what your TDEE is and make sure you are eating maintenence calories + your exercise calories to avoid being in a deficit and you will not lose weight.

    Anyway - EAT. Eat high calorie items that are good for you. Nuts, peanut butter, cottage cheese, avocados. And count yourself lucky, I am tremendously jealous!

    LOL I'm allergic to nuts! Anyway, thanks to everyone for your advice. I felt silly for asking, actually since the answer seems so simple.

    Good luck to you Jen, I know it's not easy. I lost a considerable amount of weight a few years ago and really worked to get down where I am.

    The walking increased your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). My guess is that you didn't increase your intake...so intake remains constant at a level to which you used to maintain...now you walk, increasing expenditure of energy. Simple math...your output of energy is greater than your input. If you're just walking, you wouldn't need a ton more calories to make up the difference...should be pretty easy.
