They say you should only lose 1-2lbs a week

You ate like absolute crud. You ate greasy, fatty food all day.

Then you just up and start excercising 30min a day, and totally change everything to low cal, nutritious food.

Are you not gonna lose much more than 1-2 lbs strictly on diet change alone.

How is this not GOOD for you?

It's unclear what the motivation is for this post. Are you losing more than 2 lbs/week? If you're eating a sustainable intake with decent food and getting exercise, that's fine.

I'm not sure of the background on your question. For me, when I changed my eating habits I dropped 9 lbs the first week. I am sure that was mostly water because I had swollen ankles and feet the week before. Since then I lose anywhere from 0-2 lbs a week.

unclear what your question is. if they say that you should only lose 1-2 lbs a week...for once, I go along with what THEY say. THEY aren't wrong all the time.

depends on your body type, some lose more and some dont.
i dont consider it "un healthy" if you lose more by working for it

The first two to three weeks you could lose some large numbers because of the glycogen (water) you are losing. After that when you start losing fat, you should lose somewhere between half a pound to two pounds a week on the average. There could be a spike over two pounds every now and then but still averages out to the half pound to two pounds a week. If you are losing any faster on the average then you are losing muscle and you DO NOT want to lose muscle. You want to lose fat and keep all the muscles you have and make more muscle.

You may lose more than 1-2 pounds per week for the first two or three weeks. Then you should consume enough calories per day so that you DO NOT lose more than that. You could lose more but it is not going to be in your best long term interest to do so. It will be a more sustainable loss to go slow, plus you will be less likely to lose lean muscle mass. Finally a slow loss gives you time to tone up what is left behind.
