I measured 150 calories worth of angel food cake for dessert tonight. 56g = 150 calories , I only measured 50g to be on the safe side & it filled an entire saucer plate. holy wow, I'm not sure if I actually did it right but if I did that's a whole lot of cake for only 150 calories. I could be satisfied with only 100 calories easily. I'm impressed.

I used a scale so hopefully it's accurate. :) No fruit, got to run to the grocery store & get some more.

I think it would be amazing with some balsamic covered strawberries. :)

Angel food cake is great if you are sweets person...It really is very low cal cause its so fluffy
  • Angel Food cake is pretty decent for calories - it's not as dense as most other cakes :) Pounds cake is also a little better, in comparison to calories.

    You enjoy that cake!

No you did not do it right. Should have gotten a legit cake, ice cream or pie to pull your plate/bowl

1/8 of a full cake, if you slice it evenly into 8 slices that is, one slice is somwhere around 140-160 calories, depending on the brand.

Use this in perspective to your mound of angel food cake.

Needs ice cream. Chocolate ice cream. I love angel food cake! It's really good with chocolate ice cream. Did I say that already?
