Hi,
Have any of you lost a large amount of weight and been disappointed in some ways with the end result? Like, have you experienced backlash from family members, or has your signif other left you, or has life just gone one without fanfare? Is the effort to lose weight always worth it?
I guess i need to hear that it's worth it, because i don't know what's on the other side.
thx

If you have an obese BMI, you should try to get it down. Obesity will lead to all kinds of health issues that are irreversible if they go on a long time.
I haven't experienced any sort of backlash, but there are definetly haters that don't want to see you succeed through your efforts while they continue to be lazy.
I am almost always the most fit person anywhere I go (except the gym), and honestly, I like not having a big bloated face and man boobs.

I have lost 180+ pounds and am 20-40 pounds from goal. I have lost a couple of friends thru this journey. I was always the biggest person (by far) so I guess for some of my bigger friends me now being so much smaller then them bought out some insecurities. I dont regret it at all, its seriously been the best thing I have ever done....the friends I lost....thats their issue not mine :)
