I've been lifting for about three months. I told my trainer I wanted arms like his, but smaller...lol. Here is a link to a photo I took last week...

Some cardio will help with losing body fat but it doesn't have to be a lot. 15 minutes HIIT training after lifting and a brisk walk 20-30 minutes on non-lifting days.

I can't walk too fast due to a sprained ankle, but is it okay if I bike for HIIT and off days?

I'm actually about 4 pounds heavier in the last picture than the first. This is about 10 months of lifting altogether, NROL4W then NROL Supercharged.

I'm a natural brunette (ash brown) and I have been hilighting my hair for Life it seems. Your pic of the dark brown hair has inspired me, I think I'm going to go to a similar color. Oh and the transformation is a given inspiration.

Take photos. It's the only way I see any progress at all.

I'm currently a little heavier and shedding a few extra pounds I picked up over the winter and spring, but here's what I looked like before any lifting, after weight machines for a year, and after 4 months of using free weights.

And here's after 2 years of lifting and gaining 13 pounds. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1020429-gained-13-pounds-since-lifting-scary-not-really

Sure, biking is great for HIIT.

3.5 weeks of lifting 3x/week with very little cardio (and the fun kind - sports, dance games on the xbox).

The lifting actually "lifted" my entire stomach.

I don't really have before pictures of my heaviest, because I didn't intend to stay at that weight... But here are the results of starting a cut (TDEE-20%) after two weeks: (And for some reason AFTER is on the left and BEFORE is on the right. It made sense at the time... :P)

Over 3 months of eating at TDEE and lifting and then 2 weeks of cutting at TDEE -20%, I dropped from 27.7 to 22.3% body fat... And only lost two total pounds...

Most of the muscle mass I put on seems to have been in the replacement of my bingo-wings with actual triceps and delts.

Started Jan 1, Day 171 is today and I just hit 20lbs lost. I don't have the best skin elasticity after having two kids but I see my abs peeking through (they are more obvious when the extra skin is lifted a little)

JANUARY 2013:
181.5LBS / 32% BF / SIZE 13 US/CAN
33" Waist
39" Hips
39" Navel
23.5" Thighs
121.8 lbs of Lean Mass
59.2 lbs of Fat

CURRENT ME (6/20/2013):
161LBS / 19.7% BF / SIZE 6 US/CAN
28" Waist
34" Hips
32.5" Navel
21" Thighs
129.3 lbs of Lean Mass
31.7 lbs of Fat
