Getting annoyed

ok I am working out like crazy watching my calories (litterally everything that goes in my mouth) - I am a bit confused though if I workout am I supposed to eat those calories? I dont think I am and I haven't been either. I have burned 5,095 calories total (thats just from my workout) since 5/5- I have gone over my daily calories but those days were the days that I burned alot alot of calories- but im not seeing the results. I tried southbeach but because I workout so hard it wasnt for me I ended up suffering from headaches and I ended up gaining weight (go figure you get on a diet and stick to it and you pack on 3 pounds) needless to say I gave up on it ( I have never been one to a strict diet) I rather eat what i want in moderation thats how I lost the bulk of my weight initially but I have hit a plateau and cant seem to shed these last 20lbs that I want to lose- I know when you get closer to your goal weight they say it gets harder to lose basically I am to fight these pounds off- I just want to know if I am doing this right. To give you and idea in a workout I burn anywhere from 400-825 calories in a workout not to mention strength training and crunches- I am trying to meet my goal before my husband comes home this summer from Iraq and im not getting discouraged enough to quit cause I definitely wont hit my goal by quiting but it just makes me want to workout harder- should I cut my calories more? What should I do so all my hard work pays off- MFP says I should eat 1495 calories a day but then adds additional calories after I workout- should I eat them? I have no idea what to do weightloss is a science they tell you to put a deficit in your calories of 500 whether that is cutting 250 from food and then burning 250 a day or burning 500 or cutting 500 because it takes 3500 to lose a pound- AHHHHHH Im so frustrated and confused what am I supposed to do here- Sorry I just needed to vent because the date is approaching but the scale isnt moving- I am going to weigh in again on the 15th hopefully I see a change in the scale- Good luck everyone
Just needed to vent.. :grumble:

Did you consider that the 3 pound weight gain was probably from more muscle you were putting on working out so much? You would better tell that you were losing weight by measurements. I am on SB and I dropped a few pounds but lost a ton of inches at first and when I started exercising I just ate more in those meals otherwise you will get sick because you are burning off the calories. I hope that helps. Keep up the good work.0
