Change in eating

Ok I don't know exactly how long this has been going on but lately I have noticed that when it comes to my dinner I look forward to the potatoes and whatever veggies I've done with it but when it comes to eating the meat, I look at it in disgust and don't like the texture in my mouth and it makes me feel sick to even have to chew it. I also only want to eat things like soup, yoghurts, fruit, veg, nuts etc. Seems a bit far fetched but could it be possible I might be turning veggie without actually knowing it?? Or am I just going through a phase??

Thoughts and advice are much appreciated

It might just be a stage. I can go for weeks with just eating fish as my protein. I will have chicken every couple of weeks and I get a craving for beef every couple of months. Oh and I also eat about 4-6 eggs a week and beans when I'm off meat.
Nuts and nut butters are good, too.
If you find yourself continuing to eschew meat, just make sure you're getting plenty of protein in different forms.

Im not 100% vegeterian although I could be if I really put some thought in to the whole process on how it ended up on my plate. I dont eat meat often but I do still eat it. If I make something with meat in it for my family I pick it out depending on how I feel. But on Fathers Day I ended up eating a steak which was weird bc I have not had a steak in over a year. I would just say go with how you feel and dont feel like you have to eat meat.

I love fruits and vegetables. Right now I'm snacking on a sliced fresh tomato with a little salt. I'd rather have that than a candy bar when tomatoes are in season. I eat meat because it's filling (as my grandmother would have said, "it sticks to your ribs" ) but for me it's never the centerpiece of the meal. If there aren't any vegetables, something is missing.

So, yes, you can get accustomed to less meat, maybe to the point that it's not all that much of a temptation. On business trips to India I've given up meat entirely because Indian vegetarian food is delicious. I get to the point that the bacon, eggs and sausage at the breakfast buffet just look weird to me, and head straight for the spicy vegetable stews and the idli (a type of grainy pancake).
