Finally overweight!!

edited January 27 in Introduce Yourself
Today I reached a major milestone, I'm finally "overweight" (down from obese). I've lost 88 pounds in the last 2 years, but 30 of those pounds in the last 45 days. I'm 6"2 and now 230#. Never thought the term overweight would feel so good, but it sure does.

Additionally, I found out today that I now fit size 36 jeans (down from 50 at my biggest, and 42 just 45 days ago), I cant wait to start donating my clothes!

MFP is awesome, coupled with C25K (on week 7 day 3)I really broke through a long standing plateau.

35 pounds to go.

Welcome!

I remember that feeling, going from obese to *merely* overweight' and just recently moved again down to "normal"! You'll make it there too!

C25k is Couch to 5k, basically a program that gradually trains you physically, and more importantly mentally to run ...when I first started running a minute and a 1/2 felt like eternity, but now I've run multiple 25 minute runs. Doesn't sounds like alot to my healthy friends, but for those of us gasping for air after 100M it is a HUGE deal.

It's free in the App store, I highly recommend it for losing weight.

Quick Tip: Even if you can't run, walking fast in intervals really helps as well.

I've wanted to do C25K but even the beginning was too hard for me. I can't run more than 20 seconds or so without gasping for breath and feeling exhausted. Any advice on getting started when the beginning is even too hard?
