Hey, I'm Kristin, 25yrs, would like to loose 20lbs. I've been dieting for months but haven't really tried until about a month ago, I'm down 5lbs already...Yea! I have a desk job and I've been trying to study as well for a state exam at the same time. So I know part of my problem is that I just need to get out and exercise. I purchased a $90 bicycle and I go about 8 miles at least 3 times a week if the weather permits. Otherwise I do step aerobics in my home. They seem to be some effective and cheap ways to exercise that I enjoy. Another problem is that if I don't go grocery shopping for awhile I don't have fruit to snack on and I find other things...I enjoy snacking on bread/toast and peanut butter.
I find that even though it's a slow process it's my way of doing this, and unlike almost everyone I work with that needs help from Weight Watchers, I feel like this is more my accomplishment that someone elses.
Hopefully this will put more into perspective for me as to what I eat and how exercise helps!

Hi! I'm new too, just haven't gotten around to posting- I'm 22 and have about 30 pounds to lose. I'm in the same boat as you, desk job and studying for exams- eeewww ;).

    Good luck!
  • Hi - I just started today. I have quite a few pounds to shed. I just found out about a month ago that part of my weight gain and struggle to lose weight is my thyroid. I have been taking medication which has boosted my metabolism, so now I feel more inspired to really try and lose these pounds. I eat pretty well and I have a membership to a fitness club, which I am ashamed to say I haven't gone in ages. That is horrible in itself because I am throwing away money.

I figure if I can track my progress it will inspire me to go back to the fitness club. Plus to add to it all I start classes at the end of August. Unfortunately, stress doesn't make you lose weight. If it did I would be skinny as a rail! LOL!

Well, good luck to both of you!!!!

    Hi out there,

My name is Julie and I just started today and think the site is perfect for keeping on track. I'm 35 and have been overweight all my life. I would like to loose 100 - 110 lbs and think the support will be awesome.
We have a special community that no one understands but we will win the fight.

Good luck all and let's support each other!!!
