How can I make this cheesecake healthier?

Hey guys,
I'm having a dinner party on friday and have wanted to make this recipe for ages.
Though I'm wondering if I could make it a bit healthier and lower in cals by replacing some of the ingredients?
I have never made a cheesecake before so wouldnt know how important the ingredients are to keep texture and flavour.
The base:
55g unsalted butter
200g digestive biscuits
85g walnuts (not sure if I want these or not)
The filing:
450g mascarpone cheese
2 eggs
3 tbsp caster sugar
250g white chocolate
300g strawberries
The topping:
175g mascarpone cheese
50g white chocolate shavings
4 strawberries
Any tips are appreciated!

you can make it 50% healthier by following the directions as listed and cutting your normal slices in half.0

The cauliflower sounds interesting but seeing as I'm cooking for other people I dont think they would appreciate a cheesecake with cauliflower in it.... But will definitly give it a try for myself!0

my cheesecake recipe has two blocks of cream cheese and 3 eggs in it. it also has squeezed lemons and a tiny amount of vanilla extract. the crust is made of graham crackers which are made of whole wheat flour as a rule. Those are lot's of food groups and macro's in one thing if you ask me. It of course has some sugar. Then it's topped with canned cherries and a thin veil of sour cream/sugar topping. I wouldn't mess with a good thing.
Just portion control. Plus don't eat it everyday, unless you are exercising enough to handle it.
Your recipe could omit those toppings. Also, you could seek out a more traditional recipe by typing some of the ingredients I named above and get rid of the luxuries of white chocolate and nuts that are not necessary for a cheesecake. I'm a purist so a cheesecake recipe that was devoid of even graham crackers would be ideal to me. A recipe with only cream cheese, eggs, vanilla, lemon juice and sugar would be the purest form of cheesecake and absolute bliss. Try finding one like that.
Oh here's an idea,.....then give people at the party the option to top with some white chocolate sauce, white choc shavings, walnuts, fresh strawberries, crushed grahams, crushed shortbread cookies, and even some simply fruit preserves all that you provide all "on the side" in little plates for everyone to get themselves. It'd be like a little "make your own cheesecake party" (or deconstructed cheesecake). If you had a lazy suzan it would be super fun.0 -
I've made cheesecake healthier by subbing the sour cream for yogurt with probiotics. I'd also put the topping on the side . I've never seen a cheesecake recipe with masca-whatever. They're always cream cheese with sometimes yogurt. You could also probably substitute some of the eggs for egg whites.0

Why not make them into little cheesecake bites instead of a big cheese cake? You can use a mini muffin pan.0

I would think you can find a low calorie, healthier cheesecake on Weight Watchers website or a cook book. The public library has tons of cookbooks. The recipe below is from a website. I would use artificial sweetner instead of the sugar.
Weight Watchers Cheesecake

Prep Time: 0 mins Total Time: 30 mins Serves: 16, Yield: 1 pie
Ingredients
12 graham crackers, made into crumbs ( 2 1/2 inch squares) 2 cups light cream cheese
1 cup fat free sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325°F Wrap the outside of a 10 inch springform pan with heavy duty foil; then spray the inside entirely with nonstick spray
.
Press the graham cracker crumbs over the bottom and partially up the sides of the pan. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Add the eggs 1 at a time beating on low speed until blended. Stir in the lemon zest. Pour the batter into the springform pan and set into a large roasting pan.
Pour boiling water into the roasting pan to come halfway up the sides of the springform pan. Bake until almost completely set, 30-35 minutes.

3 tbsp stevia, xylitol, truvia, honey, or maple syrup instead (although be warned the maple syrup may give it a different taste)
250g white chocolate...I don't think there's any healthy sub for white chocolate sadly.

4 strawberries

I just made cheesecake tonight! It was really good
I use low-fat cream cheese, grated rind and juice of a lemon, low-fat sour cream, vanilla extract, ricotta cheese, and vanilla cream whey protein. I pureed some strawberries to top it off and it was so delicious! Per slice, it works out to 180 calories, 9g carbs, 6g of fat, and 20g of protein.
ETA: I also used some splenda. Forgot about that!0 -

I want to do the same but I do know that LIDL do Linessa soft cheese at about 60 cals for the tub. I guess a non aspartame sweetner would be good for the sugar replacement.0 -

I have a recipe for Blueberry cheesecake Bars that is to die for. You can't tell the difference!
The filling is made with:
8 oz tub-style light cream cheese
4 oz nonfat fat cream cheese ( I used fat free)
2/3 cup granulated no-calorie sweetener (I used Truvia)
1 large egg
1 large egg white
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond exract
1 cup of blueberries. (You can leave them out if you want it plain)
Beat the cream cheeses and sweetener together in a medium bowl. Beat in the egg, the whites and the extracts. Don't over mix.
Fold in blueberries and pour into a graham cracker crust in 8x8 square pan
Bake in 350 oven until the edges are firm and the center is set. About 25 mins. but ovens vary.
Makes 15 bars.
Calories:100 Carbs: 8g Total fat: 5g (sat fat 3g), Protein: 4g, Fiber: 0 g, Cholestrol: 25g, Sodium: 130 mg

These are crack. Definitely use the 1/3 fat cream cheese--fat free has a weird texture, full fat tastes too oily.
