Rapid weight loss, and emotional fluctuations?

So I recently started on a weight loss plan that cut my calories to just under 1000. I've been doing this for four weeks and have lost 12 pounds.
I was wondering if anybody else experienced this problem. However, the last week, as in, week four of this new plan, I found that all of the sudden, my emotions are fluctuating. I'm constantly angry, or irritated, and it's like every little thing pisses me off. It's not cause I'm hungry, I'm just always angry, and every little thing can set me off. I've got a pretty good handle on it, and haven't managed to maim someone or shout at them yet. I've tried everything to calm down, from going to the gym an extra day or two, to hibernating in my room and hiding. No matter what I do, I always am angry or irritated, it's not at the surface, but I can definitely feel it there. How much longer do you think it'll take before I level out and stop being constantly angry or irritated?

The huge caloric deficit puts a strain on your system and f*cks with your hormonelevels. That's where the emotional fluctuations come from. You should really make some other (better) choices....0

It may be a function of what you're eating or more importantly missing out of your diet. You diary is closed.
If you're looking to lose 180 lbs as per your tracker I wouldn't sweat about the calorie intake but more about its composition.0 -
You need to eat more than 1000 cals a day, 1200 is the lowest you should go, you will feel better if you eat a little more and still lose weight, maybe faster too. From someone who has previously lived on about 800 calories a day and been a miserable snappy emotional mess x0
