New to calories and myfitnesspal

Hi all!!!
I am new to myfitnesspal. I really don't know the calorie count too well (when I first did lose weigh it was thru weight watchers back in 2005. I know not to eat UNDER calories etc and obviously not over. So I was given 1910 on here (I am 36 years old, 279.2 lbs and 5'3" so I am sure that's accurate). I'm just ready for this weight to be off and was wondering how successful is this app? I also would love some supportive friends and friends who need support. It truly helps in the journey.

If you use this app the way its intended, it can be very helpful. I joined just last year. At that time, I weighed 240 lbs. A year later, 165 lbs.
I'm lousy with diets, but I'm great with budgets. This program allowed me to look at my weight loss plan in such a way that it played to my strengths.

You get out of it what you put into it. The app can't do it for you, but if you use it to help you track what you actually do, then it will work.0

Hi I've just joined too. Lost over 2 stone 7 years ago with weight loss resources and this program is the same. Now need to lose nearly 3 stone I weigh 165lbs today. so really need to get it off and keep it off. Good lock and keep in touch Trudy0
