Hi everyone. I'm all new to the blog thing..

Hello! I am Erica and a mother to 3 awesome children. I have tried all the diets, pills, I was anorexic you name it, thats me and FINALLY realized I needed to change my life and be accountable for my actions and what I put into my body. I have been a member for a while now but never used this and in March I decided to take charge of my life. Our family has made a lifestyle change- it's not a diet and it works great! I'm down 53lbs and going strong. The thing I am lacking is motivation in the exercise department. Any tips?

I lack the motivation too.Right now I'm trying to find it, in the mean time, I just walk,go cleaning the house and some days I do manage to do a workout.
Just get up and move, eventually the motivation will come.
  • First, I would say once you keep getting workouts in, it gets easier! At first it was hard for me to keep working out and would quit. But now that I go 5 days a week for two months now, it is easier. Also, once you get in the habit, make sure you have variety! It keeps workouts interesting and I think it's better to surprise your body. If possible, group fitness is fun :) I like spinning/cycling class and water aerobics! Hope this helps! :)

Find a workout buddy or two ! Talk a friend into trying out a class or going to a gym with you. It will make exercise more enjoyable.
My daughter talked me into going to Zumba with her last August. Once she left for college again, I kept going to Zumba, made a few friends in class who I enjoy seeing there.
