Amiigo...?

I have been researching fitness trackers like fitbit, fuel band, jawbone, bodybugg, etc. to buy.
I came across something called Amiigo this morning. The information was kind of general. Anyonehave information on this product? It looks incredible.

I've been reading about it too. It hasn't been released yet so no reviews. I'll be very curious to hear what people think about it once users have some feedback.

the amiigo will be the best on out by far. on the site has videos you just have to find them as the site is not set up very good. it will track calories burned all day long not like some say nike fuel band that will only count calories when your rate is up so much.

it also shows your heart rate, of course you will need to look on your phone to see it but the others do not do this.

also it has the shoe strap that gives even more accuracy in your movements and what you are doing. and for like $120 it is way cheaper then any of the others and will do way more.

also waterproof. and i think they said will track your sleep.

I also read up on the Amiigo and wish they would hurry up and release it. I think it has all the best features. I want something that you wear all the time including sleeping. I am not sure of anything else out there that with that many features. But the key will be to see how it really performs when reviewed by actual users.

The BodyMedia armband has those features (I own one). But it's not waterproof and doesn't have an HRM. Finally one that has it all...now to see if it works!
  • Just wandering if anyone has more information as to when it will be released... From what I read it sounds like what I'm after.

    I backed it on indigogo.

I'm expecting two of them to arrive in mid-January. But, not holding my breath quite yet - I've had other similar deals take months longer than expected (and this one has been long delayed already too).

I bought one of these for my wife for her birthday last year - if they push it far enough back - I can give it to her for this upcoming birthday too! :drinker:

I think it has no on-device data display and only apps for iPhones and select Andriod devices, not PC, right?

The 'heart rate' function looks similar to what BodyMedia, Basis and Withings Pulse do. It'll be interesting to see how it detects and measures yoga, cycling and weight training. I'm guessing you don't have to manually log those. If you do, I'm not sure what it adds above the current tracker offerings.
