Hi everyone ...............
I am reaching out for some help !!
I have been back on MFP for about 2 weeks and cannot lose weight ..... I have been going to the gym 4X a week and I use a heart rate monitor and burning 500-600 calories a work out, some days I eat my calories back, and some days I don't. I cannot eat vegetables and certain fruit because of a permanent lifelong gastro problem I was diagnosed with last summer, so I do have to drink alot of supplements, such as ensure drinks and V8.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME??? any advice? How do you do it? Why am I not losing weight? When I was on MFP before I was successful, but that was before I was very sick and was diagnosed with this problem.... in my food diary, you can see that I ALWAYS go above my sugar intake, can that really cause the problem of not losing weight even though I am going to the gym and staying under my food calorie intake?
I am at a lost, any and all advice or criticism would be greatly appreciated, I REALLY want to lose this weight, but I am getting very discouraged !!
I am thinking that maybe I will not eat my calories back that I burn off from exercising this week to see if that works.....but I never had to that before when I was on here a year ago. :explode:

Your body takes a while to adjust to your workout.. 2 weeks is not nearly enough time.. patience, patience, patience.0

There could be a few reasons why you are feeling "stuck". Primarily, like the comment before, it takes time to adjust to the change and see or feel the results.
Your body may not be adjusting to the workouts as effectively as you like. I know a few people who's system tightens up from workouts, making them feel "heavier/stiff" when they think they should feel better. It takes time to adjust.
Also, try mixing up your cardio and weight workouts. You need to build muscle to burn fat.
What is your water intake like? I think you should be focusing on trying to get more than 8 glasses in; there are a lot of benefits to this. You also need to get adequate rest between workouts, and a good nights sleep- this is when your body starts working overtime.
When you're eating your calories back... are you paying attention to the sodium and sugar intake? I found that when I paid attention to those components of my meals, I was able to get a better grasp on how to allocate my calories and consume a more whole, and healthy menu.0 -
I would consider the fact you didn't put the weight on in 2 weeks and wont lose it all in two weeks...I personally don't even look at a scale but once a month or so...else I would drive myself insane...be patient with yourself...I didn't start seeing the results of my hard work until 20-30 lbs or (5 months) later...It takes time.0

Thanks for the words of encouragement !!
It is just last time, it came off faster --
Do you recommend to eat back calories or Not?0 -
You probably had more weight to lose or some water weight...people mistake water weight for actual fat loss...I know I did at first and had to learn the difference. I eat 1200~1500 calories a day...If I run for 10 miles or more I will eat 1500 calories but I usually stick to the 1200~1300...thats where I'm comfortable and not hungry...0
