Its not happened so much now im at home, but i really dread going back to uni after the summer It seems when we're doing late days (10am till 6.45pm) im fine till about 3pm them i go through a sort of period where i feel so tired, keep yawning and feel just generally run down. Its at this point i nip to the canteen and get a bottle of coke and a bar of chocolate. I know im never gonna be able to shift the weight if i carry on like this. Any idea what it could be making me like this, as it dont happen when im at home.

I eat breakfast, mostly toast, porridge or cereal and for lunch i generally have a sandwhich, a youghurt and some walkers baked crisps. I also get around 8/9 hours sleep a night.

Any help please?

Thanks :)

this happens to a lot of us. your body is obviously craving something sweet. i would suggest to pack something for a snack so that you'll have something you can eat in place of that coke and candy bar.

That used to happen to me everyday around 2pm. (I work 8-4:30). Watch your carb intake at breakfast and lunch. Avoid foods w/ alot of sugar and bread. Once I started watching that, I noticed I didn't tired in the afternoons. Also taking a brisk walk during lunch or break will help break that afternoon crash too. Eat a healthy snack instead of the chocolate and soda. I used to crave chocolate everyday around 2pm too. Now I eat granola bars or drink a Lean shake. Those lil chocolate calories add up over a weeks time.

Eat protien with each meal. Add eggs in with breakfest and lean meat at lunch. Lean meats veggies for dinner. Try raw nuts and or yogurt with fruit for your snacks. Each Breakfest morn snack lunch afternoon snack and dinner. Your probably not getting enough calories in early in the day. YOu need to eat 3/4 of your calories before dinner. THis will keep you full and satisfied and should combat any crash you may have. I stress that you need make sure you are getting most of your calories in before dinner. Add veggies in for lunch and dinner. It has to be a balance of your protien, complex carbs and healthy fats.
