need to start losing weight for myself than others

So recently a guy asked me out, and it took me by shock since I'm not the skinniest or view myself as the prettiest, but he liked me for me and he saw me as being pretty. Which made me realize that maybe I'm losing the weight for some of the wrong reasons (others to like me and what not) though he basically showed me that he saw me as pretty. I feel like I need to view myself and my weight loss for the right reasons and more for me.

I think that's wonderful. We all tend to start losing weight for various reasons, but most tend to be focused more on losing it for others. The first step in successful weight loss is losing it for ourselves. My weight has gone up and down several times in the past 7 years. I've always regained the weight back. Recently, I decided I was going to lose the weight for myself, for I can't make anyone else happy until I start with myself. I started with myfitnesspal.com and have lost 20 pounds in 3 months. My focus now is for myself instead of my family, friends, etc. I think you made a wise choice to start with yourself first. Good luck in continuing your weight loss.0
