Hey everyone, I just joined last week. I finished grad school recently and realized that 2 years of stress coupled with a serious decrease in exercise (I played on my college's lacrosse team as an undergrad) had taken its toll. In that time I gained about 20 pounds so I decided to start working towards a healthy weight again. Since I don't have the option to play lacrosse anymore I have been running and lifting and counting calories here. I am already down 3 pounds! This seems to be working, anyway just wanted to introduce myself.

    Welcome and congrats on 3 lbs lost already! I totally hear you on the grad school thing... I finished up grad school in May (2 1/2 year program). I started MPF near the end of last year, but my efforts totally fell apart this last spring semester. Thankfully I'm done and am trying to make up for all the self-neglect by focusing on getting healthy now.

    MFP is a great site - it's a tool that some people find great success with - like any tool, you get out of it what you put into it. Good luck reaching your goals!
