Office job Exercises

So I am working out 4 times a week and this is all I can manage at the moment with my busy life style, the problem is I feel like I am letting my self down by not doing it more. I then thought maybe I could do something at work I sit behind a desk all day but I am in a big office so does anybody have ideas on how I can exercise while at work without looking like im barking mad.. Sniffing my own armpits or having a seizure.

  • Funny you should ask, my daughter just told me tonight that on youtube they have videos of desk exercises you can do... she told me to just type in "desk exercises".

    I work in a contact centre and I always walk to work and shower there. Is taht possible? Do you live close to work?
    I find thatjust stretching helps. you can do butt clenches, no one would really see you doing it.

    I have a band that I sit at my desk with while it is around my feet and just do resistance exercises that way. My legs get pretty sore afterwards. lol

    Those two I can try and I'll look on you tube. I always jiggle my legs constantly so I feel like I am doing something. Its is about a hour and half walk. I brought my self a bike last year and started cycling to work it made me so refreshed when i got here but i found because I am so heavy it always felt like I was cycling with a flat tyre and It made me upset because no matter how much i pumped the tyre up when I was sat on it people still commented on the flat tyre.

    You can always do. ankle rotations under the desk... and pedal pushes....and pointing the toes to the head... but clenches.... kegels.... deep breathing (quietly of course). Then there is always using the stairs... Ok I'm done.:bigsmile: ...can't think of any more. good luck.

    Thanks for these suggestions I shall give them a try!! and hopefully people wont see and think ive lost my marbles!

    I did a little list of stuff that i could do about my office:-

    Table push ups
    Tricep dips on chair
    Single leg squat
    Bottle of water squeeze (put between knees)
    Chair squat (bum just grazing)
    Calf raise
    Lunges
