So frustrating!

So, yesterday, I blew eating good out of the water. I don't think I ate one healthy meal at all yesterday. I was so miserable too. Tired, frumpy, bloated, up all night with heartburn (which I was still dealing with until I stopped at Walgreen's on my way to work for some Tums). So, I vowed that today, come hell or high water, I would eat good. Or, as good as I can. So far today, I feel like I'm doing well. Some Special K cereal, 2% milk, fresh strawberries, fresh grapes, water, and an Advocare Spark drink (instead of my usual Starbucks). So why am I already over my sugar intake for the day?!?! EVERYTHING seems to have sugar in it. Should I even worry about that and just watch my calories??

I have been here nearly a week and I am over my sugar intake every day but eating under my calories and most of the other macro measurements. I think I wouldn't worry too too much about this if I were you if you are within the framework for most of the categories.

I just ignore it, I have some fruit and I am over it. just keep to you macros (fat. carb and protein) and you'll be fine.

How much sugar does MFP suggest you eat? What are your weight goals? What is your height/weight/sex?

There's alot more to counting calories and carbs than the numbers. I'll help any way I can.

How many pouches of the Advocare Spark do you have?

Yes you should worry about sugar content IF you are using that as your main source of carbs. I usually try to get my carbs from veggies and fruits and not pasta, rice, any wheat/gluten product, or any junk food. Complex carbs are much more of a concern than sugar if the sugar is all fruit based.
  • MFP suggests I have 27 or less for sugar. I weigh 167 right now, but I would like to get back down to 145. I am 5'8", 30 years old, and female. I drink 2 Spark drinks a day. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon around 3 p.m. (instead of the Dr. Pepper or Coke that I used to get out of the vending machine). Counting calories, carbs, etc. confuses the heck out of me, ha ha!
