bedtime snack ideas

Hi,
I know you are not supposed to eat before bedtime and not carbs, but sometimes I am really hungary before bed, and ideas on what a low cal non carb snack would be. Oh and I tend to crave salt before bed.
ANy help is appreciated.

    for me i eat a yogurt and it helps me sleep better

    I was going to say milk too. Maybe with a *few* multi grain crackers for your salt fix.

    I eat snacks before bed and never had a problem, its usually either popcorn or like a small ice cream cup or bar

    Try to avoid carbs that late at night, your body doesn't need the quick energy they provide. You can try cucumber, celery, maybe cottage cheese, yogurt.
  • I make Kale chips in the oven. They are salty and taste enough like a potatoe chip to keep me satisfied :) Pull the kale in chip size pieces. Place on parchment paper on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, sea salt and lemon juice. Bake at 350 and pull them out when they look crispy. They are really quick and easy to make.

    A really good snack that fills you up and is high in protein AND helps burn fat while sleeping is low fat cottage cheese with pineapple chunks. :happy:
