I am new to this and I'm just looking for a helpful suggestion from Somebody. My exercise is mostly on a recumbent bike and I want to know what is better for burning calories. Is it better if I am on it and go 13 miles an hour for an hour and a half or if I go 17 mph for an hour which one is better for burning calories. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated thank you very much

My results have always been a little better with higher intensity workouts, but that is not a scientific answer here- plus I like just putting out, and getting on with my day. If I do lower intensity for longer periods of time, I get bored.

Intensity will be more in a shorter time. This is why HIIT > steady state cardio. In reality, it doesn't matter which one you do because the more calories you burn ,the more you need to eat.
