Day one of positive changes

Hi. I just joined fitness pal this evening and will start logging tomorrow. I am a 40 year old female, who is raising my 17 year old son and am starting Graduate school on Monday. I started getting heavy in my 30's and about 2 years ago discovered I have a thyroid disorder which caused the significant weight gain. Now that I have the disorder under control, I decided it was time to lose the extra 135 lbs I have gained over the years.

I am hoping to not only lose the weight throug My Fitness Pal but also to make new friends along the way.

  • Hello, I am 53 years of age. I have decided to give this a good try. I am a diabetic, type 2. I would like to lose at least 40 lbs. I am also epileptic and have mini strokes. Losing weight will at least keep my diabetes in control. I wish everyone the best of luck with their diets.
