Favorite ways to season cooked vegetables

I'm always looking for good seasonings to combine with different vegetables. My favorites are as follows:

Broccoli and Cauliflower: no salt added Montreal steak spice

Carrots: Ginger; dill; curry powder

Salsa and/or crushed red pepper are staples on my vegetables/salads as well.

How about everybody else?

fresh lemon juice, garlic, a spritz of olive oil, salt/black pepper, crushed dried herbs (i dry a lot on my own)- i try different combos of herbs, like thyme, mint, savory etc.

depending on the veg and the meal, i may add cumin, crushed sweet or hot peppers.

I eat a lot of frozen veg in my packed lunch. Sambas (chilli paste), pesto, garlic powder, black sesame seeds.

I put garlic with almost everything, but depends what sort of flavours you are going for! Basil, oregano, thyme, parsley are all relatively mild but distinctive so would add one depending on what I'm cooking. If you want spicy try cumin, chilli powder, cayenne pepper, paprika. I'm not very creative with seasoning myself, I tend to follow recipes but would always at least have fresh garlic with my vegetables. Depends what you're cooking and how you are cooking it as well though :)

I love garlic powder, and I'm a huge salt person (I know!). I also have a cabinet full of Mrs. Dash in different flavors along with some other brands of different seasonings so I have a ton to choose from depending on my mood.

I like all the popcorn seasonings, ranch, white cheddar and even use the caramel one on apples or fruit sometimes for a change of pace. they are mostly zero or very low calories! green beans are great with some sautéd onions or adding some seasoning salt for me.

Nowadays I never have veg as a side dish and most of my meals are stewy or soupy. I tend to add veg instead of some of the normal quantity of meat or starch in a recipe. So for example my 'biryani' is made with only a third of the usual amount of rice and includes lots of types of veg.

For example I've just had fusilli (small portion) and tuna (full portion) with a tiny amount of pesto and then wilted spinach and sun dried tomatoes mixed in.

The short answer: if I have veg as a side dish they never seem as appealing, no matter what I season them with.
