Gym membership, any advice?

So I plucked up courage and decided to spend on a gym membership again but I want to make this one count. I am specifically looking forward to weight lifting. Any suggestions as to where to start? I still have about 27 lbs to loose before goal.

Congrats on joining! Great first step. Many gyms will offer a session or two for free with a trainer. Meeting with them can help get you on the right track0

Good investment. Like the gentleman said, good gyms will make a trainer available to you for free for a day or two. Make sure the trainer understands your goals. Unless you are really overweight, the focus should be on resistance training, strength training, and high impact interval training.0
