I guess some say me having a 1400 calorie diet is to restricting and my body will go into starvation Mode? Here was what I posted:

My plan was to eat 1200-1400 calories during the week. I have a sit down job so befor work I plan on doing Jillian Micheals 30 day shred then after work do an hour mixed with cardio and weight training. Twice a week I will be taking spin class. Weekends, I am allowing myself 2000 calories for a "treat". If I hit 2000 then I do, If not then great for me. I am trying to lose 40 pounds by october. Is this not realistic?

40 lbs in 12 weeks is probably not realistic, no. Well, ok 14 weeks but still, even if you're 200+ lbs and photoshopped your profile pic, 30 would be an outside number.

Too much exercise and too little food will wreck you. You can pick one of those two things, but not both. And if you will get the same or better results by eating more food and spinning your wheels less, why wouldn't you do that?
