Need a FitBit Buddy?

Hello there!
I just turned 30 and I'm ready to finally lose the 25 lbs that are keeping me from feeling as fit & beautiful as I'd like to be. I'm pretty healthy (and believe it or not I'm actually a certified personal trainer, so I've got a WEALTH of diet & health info that helps keep me fit) but I'm ready to pull out all the stops and lose this vanity weight.
I just purchased a FitBit and I'm looking for a buddy to share my stats with so that we can motivate each other and keep one another 100% accountable to our goals. I'm a supportive but no-nonsense kind of person, and I'd ask that you be willing to do the same for me. (No excuses!)
More info:
+ I'm female and would prefer a female buddy
+ your current weight & goals don't matter to me as much as your attitude, commitment level, and willingness to be supportive & consistent
+ i'm a dedicated vegan, but you don't have to be.
+ i lead a pretty awesome life---own my own complementary healthcare practice, have a wonderful boyfriend, and make a habit of always learning more and following my dreams. i want to finally end my weight struggle and embrace the kind of positive relationship with my body that's always eluded me. let's help each other!
If this sounds good to you, send me a message (or reply here) and tell me a little bit about yourself and your goals. (Remember---I want to share FitBit data---so you gotta have one!)
Hugs,
Mellie

Wish I had a FitBit! I will google it to see if it is something I would like to use but -- I too am trying to lose the 25lbs I keep moving around. I am a military person so fitness is part of my life and I do workout but I am looking to truly kick my own butt and lose it! I would love to blame it on my youngest kiddo but she's 2 so really it's been me for the last year or so. At any rate, I'll let you know if this is something I will invest in to work together. If not -- best of luck I look forward to seeing your posts!

I have a FitBit! And am still trying to figure out if I'm using it correctly with MFP. Have lost about 9 pounds, looking to lose another 15 or so. Also have a very loving boyfriend and I will be turning 27 next month. I live in NYC so my step count may seem abnormally high. Feel free to add me!0

I have been using my Fitbit one since the first of the year and am so addicted to it! It is fun to 'compete' with yourself and buddies for most steps of the week. I even bought my mom one for mothers day and now we root each other on daily. I'm 35, have one kiddo and need to lose about 12lbs. I'm very active/ athletic and eat a clean diet (with the exception of an occasional treat).
Feel free to friend me on MFP and Fitbit... here is my profile page over there:

I have a fitbit one & am in Australia!
I'm 30. Recently lost 35kg & another 10-13kg would be nice. I'm a mum to a 4yo boy & have a husband about to undergo a live kidney transplant from his brother in 13 days time! My life is about to get hectic but I'll still exercising & using my fitbit. I don't have any friends with a device, but I am keen to get some!
My name s Jane Prichard.
Love to connect with you all. :-)0 -
Great! I've sent friend requests to everyone who posted their fitbit user page. I can't figure out how to invite you using your name or email address, so Jane (sending you so much love before your transplant, btw. Someone very close to me will be going through the same thing. So glad you found a donor!!) and the other person who didn't post their user link, I can't add you until you do. My profile link is http://www.fitbit.com/user/2672BX , so you can just go there and send me a request. (When you do, tell me a little about yourself if you didn't already say hi in this thread. That way I'll know you're not spamming.)
Thanks everyone!0 -
There's a great fitbit group on here, too, which would be worth joining.
I've had a Zip since January which definitely helped me maintain my weight loss during our house move which I'm not saying is the direct cause of my falling off the wagon, but ... oh hell, yes it was the reason. Anyway, I ate a LOT of cake and drank a LOT of wine and only put on 2 lbs in 6 months, because I became obsessed with upping my step count. I got 27k steps on moving day lol
Feel free to add me! I love having loads of buddies, especially more active ones, as it's great motivation to catch up with their step counts lol
