Question about Insanity

Hi Everyone .
I have been doing Insanity for 24 days now and I still need to pause sometimes to catch by breath. I thought by now my body would have gotten use to doing Insanity . Is that normal or am I doing something wrong. As anyone tried insanity and had the same problem.

Stopping to catch your breath is normal, is good. Means you are working hard. Look at the people doing the workout. They stop and take breaks, are super tired. The more you do that workouts the better you will be, the harder you can push yourself. You will/should always be out of breath : )0

There is no getting used to it. If you're doing it right, each time you do the workout, you should be doing more reps or going at a faster pace and so on. The point is to up your intensity so that you are always working as hard as you safely can. The fit test is a good example of this. At the end, you're still exhausted and gasping, but I would bet you did better the second time around. I'm almost done with the first month, and I still have to stop every so often to wheeze for a bit as well. But I have noticed that I can keep closer pace with the videos now than I could, and my breaks are a little shorter and a little less frequent. It's perfectly normal for this workout.0

Don't sweat it haha. Consider the fact that the people in the video are struggling as well.0

Thanks Everyone , now it gives me the peace of mind to know that I am doing it right :-)0

I agree. I'm only on day 4 and I definitely stop for fifteen to twenty seconds during certain parts. I give you kudos for pausing so you don't miss anything. I just let the video keep playing and when my muscles feel okay and I somewhat have my breath I just jump back in where I left off.
Bottom line, you are doing it! It's inevitable that you will get better. I've done other workout programs and was surprised how much better I got at them after doing them consistently.
Good Job! Don't give up!0 -
