Fat 2 Fit BF% calculator?

Options
So this site http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ lists 3 calculators for body fat %.

So I'm 5'6 and 187 pounds.

The original calculator gives me a bf% of: 28.5% (lean body mass of 133.8 lbs says i have 53.2 lbs of fat on me)
The military calculator gives me a bf% of: 52.7% (Lean body mass of 88.5 lbs says i have 98 lbs of fat on me)
The CBBF calculator gives me a bf% of: 26.8% (lean body mass of 137 lbs says i have 50 lbs of fat on me)

What one should I go by?

I have the same problem with those body fat calculators. Unfortunately, they're never going to be as accurate as calipers or water displacement tests, etc. If you're trying to figure out how much protein you're supposed to be eating and want to base it on pounds of lean body mass, I'd say to just use the average. If you're looking to track your body fat changes, you probably need to invest in some good calipers.

Their body fat calculator is way off for me. I'll link you to one that I found to be closer to accurate.

Says I'm 33% bf? I always thought I was around the 40% range. (Waist I entered in around my navel...biggest part of my torso)

Another thing that can help you figure out your body fat is looking at pictures of other women and making a comparison. This helped me realize that the body fat calculators that were telling me I had 44% body fat were way, way off. I almost cried that day. It's funny now but at the time I felt so bad. Actually, focusing on my body fat without accurate numbers made me feel bad in general so I just let it go. Anyway, the following link may help you.

The miltary calc gave you 52.7% and the others were in he 20's? That can't be right. In my research, I found the miltary to be the most accurate when I compared to caliper readings. It's kind of a cap shoot, so if you're only interested in improving the number, pick one, stick with it and track the trend lower, hopefully.

^^ yeah I agree. I just follow the military calculator, and use it to track my body fat loss throughout my journey. May not be accurate, but it is consistent and at least I have something to gauge if I have lost or not. :)

i also think that it's wrong, you need to re try it. I have always found the military one to be most accurate and lower, not sure why your was way off???? for me the other 2 says 25% and military says 23% not sure why your have such a huge range?

I know that my scale's bf% calculator is not completely accurate, and I've always suspected that it estimated a little low, but all of the calculators seem way off. It may have to do with how I carry my weight. On my scale, I consistently get readings below 20%. The calculators gave me estimates of 26 to 32%.

    Interesting.

The author ranks bf estimation methods and found the measurement method to be less accurate than the bioimpedence scale. I think that's the case for me too.
