Cooking a Chicken!!
Hi Guys,
I'm cooking a whole chicken today and was planning on popping the chick onto a wired tray so that the fat drips through, concern is that it may dry up. Any tips please??
Also will the cooking time be decreased due to the cooking method??
Help n Thanks.

Are you roasting it in the oven? Are you using a crockpot? What's your cooking method?0

stick some water in the bottom of the roasting pan just a cupfull and then place the wire tray in and put the chicken on top of the tray and cover the lot with foil, the fat will drip into the water and the steam will keep the chicken moist, cooking time won't change. hope that helps! check about half way through the cooking time and add more water if needed (you can put some herbs into the water if you want basil is good and it will lightly flavour the skin)0
