My mom in law made this version full fat a couple of weeks ago. It was to die for but the calories/fat content made me want to cry after eating them! haha Anyways... here's the recipe, directions, & nutrition facts. The lighter version is just as good without all the guilt. ENJOY!

1 serving (1 pepper)
Calories: 138
Total Fat: 8.5g
Cholesterol: 40 mg
Sodium: 400 mg
Total carbs: 3g
Sugar: 2g
Protein: 6g

Ingredients:
1 jalapeno, Philadelphia 1/3 less fat cream cheese, Jennie O Turkey bacon.

Directions:
Preheat oven or grill (I prefer grill) to 375 degrees. Wash and slice the jalapeno in half (lengthwise), use a spoon to remove the innards and seeds, place 1 tbsp of light cream cheese in each half pepper. Use 1 piece of turkey bacon per half pepper. Tightly wrap the bacon around the pepper attempting to cover most of the cream cheese. Secure bacon with toothpicks if needed. If grilling place peppers directly on grill, if baking place peppers on a baking sheet. Both cooking options need to be cooked for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve warm & ENJOY!

*Note: If jalapenos are too spicy, you can also use poblano or serrano peppers, but those may require more cream cheese or bacon because they're a larger pepper. Still they're equally as delicious!

I am sorry.,, I just have to say., this isn't healthy or diet food.
In my own opinion.,,, getting away totally from this type of food and focusing on clean eating. Like low sodium low cal low fat., fresh foods.,,
    It's a mindset.
Redoing high fat favorites doesn't help
Just my opinion. Go ahead.,, crucify me

There is no need for crucifixion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I eat what I want and am still losing weight and gaining muscle. What works for me may not work for others. I tried this recipe & loved it. I shared it for others who enjoy "bad foods" in moderation, in hopes that it may be an ok alternative.

Hey cool. I think I am just jealous because the only part of that I can have is the jalapeño.
Getting older sucks. Sooo many dietary restrictions. It sounds really good.

Also., while I am yammering away.,I think my attitude today comes from a friend who is morbidly obese eho today told me he ordered a burger with the works but on whole wheat toast.,, and he thinks he is dieting.
That's where my mind was at.
Anyhoooo., I could probably eat 12 of these. In a former life
    Oh well
    Thanks for the nice post

Great recipe! My wife and I both love it.

If you use Applegate Farms Organic Uncured bacon, it is the same calories as the Jennie-o Turkey bacon (30 per slice/60 for 2). I also tried it with 2 tsp of full fat (horizon organic) cream cheese per pepper half, and the calories came in at about 142 total for one whole pepper.
